    Description

    The Merchant Success team is responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy to grow and retain merchants after their initial launch with Buy with Prime (BwP) and Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) products. Merchant Success team members will navigate ambiguous business challenges while working directly across a network of internal and external cross-functional stakeholders. The Senior Account Manager will create and implement strategies to effectively manage a portfolio of strategic partners using BwP and MCF, creating strong partnerships with rapidly growing the businesses. You will leverage learnings from merchants to continuously improve internal processes, reduce merchant pain points, and influence product roadmaps based on strategic merchant priorities, to maximize long term growth potential and improve shopping and fulfillment experiences.

    * Own strategic vision and performance to objectives across a portfolio of strategic merchants

    * Define forecasts and communicate progress and blockers to management and cross functional teams

    * Gather, interpret and apply a wide range of data to resolve issues and exceed business objectives

    * Prioritize effectively in an ambiguous, complex, fast-paced environment

    * Effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

    A day in the life

     

    You are the primary owner of one or more Enterprise level merchants. You define and execute account level business strategies, and are expected to effectively operate across all members of the account’s tactical and executive level points of contact. You are responsible for executing existing agreements and new negotiations to cover contract renewals or additions of new business opportunities. You are considered a subject matter expert in your product lines and the industries you support. You are expected to set and execute merchant level forecasts, and to provide clear status and forecast updates to senior leadership. You contribute to business mechanisms, goal reviews, and cross-functional product reviews. You are a strong communicator, both internally and externally, and in written and verbal communication. You continuously seek out and provide clear inputs to the product teams that help inform development and roadmap, specific to your industry or customers.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree

     

    - Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

     

    - Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

     

    - 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

     

    - 5+ years professional experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or Business Development

    Preferred Qualifications

    - MBA

    - Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

     

    - 5+ years of relevant work experience in business development within supply chain operations or Ecommerce

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
