Description
Amazon is seeking highly skilled and motivated Compliance Investigators within North American Surface Transportation Safety & Compliance (NAST S&C). This role will conduct investigative deep dives of daily freight movements flowing into and out of our North American fulfillment centers and our associated fulfillment network, as well as investigations into regulatory and safety fraud activities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team in a huge growth area for Amazon.
This position involves working Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts; with occasional travel and work hour changes as business needs dictate.
Key job responsibilities
- Link analysis, trend mapping, and deep-dive projects
- Ability to conduct site inspections, gather information and apply logical frameworks to determine next actions
- Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, QUIP, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
- Must be able to quickly understand the business impact of the trends and articulate those findings in a way that make sense based on available data
- Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered
- Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed
- Assist in data and metrics collection that drive business results
- Continual, tactical communication with internal stakeholders (Compliance, Safety, Supply Chain Transportation Services) and internal customers
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional or military experience
- 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- High school or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with end-to-end project management
- Experience conducting open-source information gathering/analysis.
- Experience writing narrative reports for internal/external stakeholders, or similar report-writing for law enforcement, public service, or legal venues.
- Experience with link analysis platforms such as I2 Analyst Notebook, Palantir, Fivecast, etc.
