CEC is designed to enhance and promote the integration of medical and behavioral health disciplines to improve patients’ outcomes.

    In this role as Community Residence Counselor, you will:

    + Provide counseling, behavioral interventions, restorative services, assistance in negotiating community activities and crisis management services.

    + Monitor, train and assist residents in all programs in household maintenance activities to ensure a clean, safe and homelike environment. Directly participate in household maintenance activities when required.

    + Provide training, supervision and assistance to residents in daily activities including food purchases, recreational activities, and meal planning and personal care activities.

    + Assist residents in developing meaningful service plan goals and provide supports to assist residents in achieving their goals.

    + Conduct fire safety training activities.

    + Document interactions with residents in accordance with agency policies and standards.

    + Meet weekly, or as scheduled, with assigned primary residents for counseling and to establish and review service plan goals.

    + Assist residents in procuring and maintaining financial entitlements.

    + Monitor medications as required.

    This position as Community Residence Counselor requires:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Must have NY driver’s license with a clean driving record.

    + Experience in a mental health related field preferred.
