HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT** **:

+ Purchase Reserved Instances and Savings Plans and other optimization efforts

+ Become the billing expert available for training customers on understanding Cloud usage and patterns and champion and advocate for the use of our automated tools

+ Provide financial operations training, drive user experience improvements, adoption of processes and FinOps education

+ Support the CMS Cloud team in delivering highly communicative and financial reports that provide customers with their usage, monthly billing and funding utilization

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

+ **Education:** Bachelors degree required

+ **Required Experience:** 8+ years of related experience

+ **Required Technical Skills:** Jira and Cost Optimization; Experience with FinOps by analyzing cloud cost & usage data; AWS Certified AI Practitioner; AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

+ **Clearance:** Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

+ **Required Skills and Abilities:** Excellent program solving and customer experience skills required; Must be able to communicate well with their customers throughout their Cloud journey; Attention to detail is a must

+ **Preferred Skills** : Prefer candidate local to the DMV

+ **Location:** 100% Remote with occasional travel to the MD/ VA area

+ **Residency Requirement:** Must have been in the US for at least 3 out of the last 5 years; Must be a US Person (Green Card holder, US Citizen, US permanent resident, alien, refugee or asylee.); Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position

The likely salary range for this position is $108,800 - $147,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
