Description
Robert Half is partnering with an established and respected law firm that is expanding and seeking a Tax Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its Ft. Lauderdale office. This attorney will advise clients on state and local tax matters and represent them in disputes with government agencies including the Department of Revenue. Base salary up to $160,000, 1,600 billable hour requirement, full benefits package including bonus and 401(k) contribution and family-friendly work environment with long-term team stability. Responsibilities:
• Advise clients on state and local tax issues
• Represent clients in US Tax Court and Administrative Court.
• Draft and review legal documents to ensure compliance with tax deadlines
• Draft and argue Chapter 120 Petitions and protests with the Department of Revenue
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff on client matters
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Member of the Florida Bar; LL.M. in Tax strongly preferred
• 3+ years of tax experience in a law firm or in-house setting
• Excellent drafting and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong research and analytical abilities
