Robert Half Legal is assisting a reputable law firm located in Sherman Oaks, CA in their search for a skilled Estate Planning Paralegal to join their team. As an Estate Planning Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting attorneys with estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in legal documentation and client-centered service in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assist attorneys with drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.

+ Manage trust administration tasks, such as preparing accountings, handling asset transfers, and communicating with trustees and beneficiaries.

+ Support probate filings, from petition preparation to estate closing documentation.

+ Conduct legal research related to estate planning and trust and probate administration.

+ Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial details and other documentation required for estate planning.

+ Prepare and file court documents electronically (e-filing), ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

+ Maintain and organize client files to ensure accessibility and compliance with firm protocols.

+ Coordinate communications with tax advisors, accountants, and other professionals involved in the estate planning process.

Requirements

Requirements

+ Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal specializing in estate planning, trust administration, and probate work.

+ Paralegal Certification or equivalent compliance with state-specific paralegal requirements.

+ Solid understanding of estate planning documents, California probate rules, and trust administration processes.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software.

+ Experience with e-filing systems in California courts is highly desirable.

+ Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a client-focused approach.
