Description We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our team in Sacramento, California. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within the non-profit sector, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on organizational success through effective HR practices. The role requires a strong background in employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration.
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws.
• Administer benefits programs, ensuring accurate enrollment, updates, and communication with employees.
• Oversee leave management processes, including FMLA and other statutory requirements.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to maintain and manage employee records, payroll, and reporting.
• Provide guidance to managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote skill development and organizational growth.
• Collaborate with leadership to address workforce planning and organizational development needs.
• Handle conflict resolution and disciplinary actions in a fair and consistent manner.
• Support recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews, onboarding, and new employee orientations. Requirements • Proven experience as an HR Generalist, with a strong understanding of HR functions and processes.
• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now for payroll and HR data management.
• Extensive knowledge of benefits administration and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with FMLA and other leave management policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
• Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
