We are seeking a detail oriented and driven Senior GL Accountant to join a dynamic and collaborative team in San Rafael, CA. Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee and accurately record financial transactions across multiple divisions, ensuring reliable and timely accounting records.

+ Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial statements.

+ Conduct internal audits and variance analyses to identify trends, assess performance, and support data-driven decision-making.

+ Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations.

+ Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering professional development and adherence to accounting best practices.

+ Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations, including bank and key balance sheet accounts.

+ Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial reports to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

+ Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights and support broader business objectives.

+ Leverage advanced Excel capabilities and accounting systems to streamline reporting and analysis.

+ Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

+ Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within high-volume or fast-paced industries.

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with various accounting software platforms.

+ Deep understanding of GAAP with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.

+ Hands-on experience with general ledger maintenance, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliations.

+ Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a proven ability to excel in dynamic, team-oriented environments.

+ Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.

+ Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.
