Description
A Healthcare Company is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Data Entry Specialist to join a thriving healthcare organization. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely management of sensitive medical records and data. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience working in a medical office environment and a strong background in data entry.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Accurately input and update patient information, medical records, and billing data into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
+ Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
+ Review medical documents for completeness and accuracy, and follow up with healthcare providers to clarify or retrieve missing information.
+ Assist in managing insurance claims and coding documentation, ensuring alignment with billing procedures.
+ Collaborate with administrative staff and healthcare professionals to streamline data processes and resolve discrepancies.
+ Perform quality checks on data to identify and rectify any errors promptly.
+ Generate reports and retrieve data for audits or decision-making purposes as needed
Requirements
+ Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems; [list specific systems, e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech] experience is a plus.
+ Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance billing processes, and HIPAA compliance.
+ Excellent typing speed with a high level of accuracy.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
+ Outstanding communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
