Description

Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will contribute to the efficient management of accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely financial reports.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide insights into company performance.

• Maintain general ledger accounts, including journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial reporting processes and workflows.

• Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities to align with organizational goals.

• Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• CPA certification or progress towards obtaining it is preferred.
