    Surveillance Investigator Trainee Aquarius (Laughlin, NV)

    Description:

    General Summary

    It is the responsibility of the Surveillance Investigator – Trainee to maintain knowledge and have an understanding of the current property casino gaming operations, Surveillance Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies and Procedures.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Utilize provided equipment, databases and software to identify, record, document and report illegal, unusual or suspicious activities occurring in all gaming areas, non-gaming areas and back of the house.

    + Participate in the Continuous Education Program with a minimum of 20 hours of training a year through self-study and attend mandatory in-house and outside training in preparation to acquire and maintain the job knowledge needed to perform as a Level 1 Investigator.

    + The Continuous Education Program training will consist of, but will not be limited to:

    + Surveillance Standard Operating Policies and Procedures.

    + Casino Table Games (including, but not limited to: Table games operations, dealer policy and procedures, cheating, advantage play and player evaluation).

    + Slots (including, but not limited to: Slots operation, policy and procedures, cheating, advantage play and player evaluation).

    + Cage operations, policies and procedures.

    + Race and Sports Book (including, but not limited to: Race and Sports Book operations, policies and procedures and messenger betting).

    + Keno operations, policies and procedures.

    + Security operations, policies and procedures.

    + Food and Beverage operations, policies and procedures.

    + Occupational Fraud and Abuse Training.

    + Nevada GCB Regulations and Minimum Internal Control Standards.

    + Fire and Safety training.

    + Computer Software training (including but not limited to: the use of iTrak, CDS, AS400, Griffin Gold, Biometrica, New Wave and Info Genesis.

    + Trainees are encouraged to test for Surveillance Investigator – Level I within six months from date of hire or as required by the Surveillance management team.

    + Trainees are required to maintain a continuous self-education program constantly expanding their job knowledge.

    + At management’s discretion, Trainees may be quizzed monthly on job-related materials.

    + Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

    + Provide outstanding guest service to all internal and external guests.

    Requirements:

    Job Specifications – Qualifications

     

    + High School diploma or equivalent.

    + One year experience in gaming industry and/or surveillance systems preferred.

    + Maintain a Nevada Gaming Card issued by the Nevada Gaming Control Board and renew as necessary.

    + Ability to find common sense solutions to problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

    + Interpret and communicate a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

    + Ability to read and write in English.

    + Ability to communicate in a group setting, as well as one-on-one situations.

    + Ability to utilize computers and have a basic understanding of how a computer works.

    + Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

    + Must have the ability to stand and squat or sit and stand for long periods of time.

    + Must be able to visually recognize colors.

    + Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations

    + Must be able to obtain and maintain all cards required by the company.

    + Must be able to verify right to work in the U.S.

     

    Working Conditions – Physical Requirements

     

    + The work environment is isolated and represents little physical action.

    + Noise level is usually light to moderate.

    + Typically sit at a desk or table.

    + Occasionally walk, stand or stoop.

    + Frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 20 lbs.

    + Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.

    + Communicate via radios
