    Job Title: Conversion Crew MemberDepartment: ConversionReports To: Conversion ManagerSalary: $22.00 per hour

     

    Legends|ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent opportunity for a Conversion Crew Member at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. This position is responsible for setting up and clearing event spaces, including halls, arenas, theaters, and meeting rooms, ensuring all equipment is arranged properly and in working order.Please note that Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, and union membership is a condition of employment.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Move tables, chairs, risers, bleachers, booths, staging, ramps, and other furniture between event spaces and storage areas as directed.

    + Assist with setting up event equipment according to established procedures.

    + Report any property damage, malfunctioning equipment, or safety hazards to the Conversion Manager or supervisor.

    + Complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner during event preparations or shift assignments.

    + Notify supervisor of any issues with equipment, supplies, or staffing needs.

    + Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with guests, clients, and co-workers.

    + Adhere to the facility's dress code and grooming standards.

    + Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

    + Comply with all ASM Global and Event Services Department policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    + Education: High school diploma or GED required.

    + Experience: Previous experience in event set-up or a related field is preferred but not required.

    Skills and Abilities:

    + Strong organizational and communication skills.

    + Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.

    + Ability to work collaboratively with other team members, including staff at all levels.

    + Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.

    + Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

    Physical Demands:

    + Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate tools, equipment, and machinery.

    + Must be able to lift and move items up to 100 pounds.

    + This position involves working both indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

    + No certifications required for this role.
