The Davey Resource Group (DRG) is currently hiring certified arborists, professional foresters, horticulturalists, natural resource specialists, environmental scientists, GIS technicians, plant and outdoor enthusiasts to join our workforce.

Job Duties

+ Work with Austin Energy to address its vegetation clearance needs

+ Inspect utility right of ways and identify vegetation incompatible with state and federal regulations

+ Collect and enter data on handheld devices, follow maps, and use GPS navigation

+ Communicate with landowners regarding work on or near their property

+ Assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions

+ Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

+ Minimum of 1 year of utility vegetation management experience or similar experience in a related field (tree work industry, landscape professional)

+ Knowledge of local tree species and growth rates

+ Ability to hike and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather

+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive, ArcGIS maps and electronic work planning software

+ International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist

+ Texas Department of Agriculture Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle on rough roads
