    OVERVIEW:

    The primary function of this position is to manage the execution of the supply chain process from placement of purchase order to receipt of goods ensuring product is available to meet forecasted customer demand. The secondary function of this position is to provide administrative support to Supply Chain Directors, Supply Chain Managers, and Supply Planners.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Analyze forecasts and review current inventory levels utilizing SAP software and other tools to satisfy inventory and customer service objectives

    + Maintain supplier capacity by model and recommend and execute stock build options

    + Identify excess, obsolete and discontinued inventory issues and develop actions for disposition/avoidance

    + Drive enhancement of inventory planning processes and systems to minimize operational constraints

    + Develop action plans to resolve operational issues that affect product supply

    + Develop and maintain operational metrics to monitor vendor performance

    + Coordinate product rework and or conversion as necessary to ensure product is available to meet customer demand

    + Be directly accountable for all communications related to the management of specific Suppliers who are predominantly located in Asia (requires periodic evening telephone communication)

    + Write procedures, documentation and memos using language appropriate for the situation

    + Influence peers and other functions to achieve objectives

    + Conduct and or participate in meetings to contribute to the effectiveness of teams

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + BS/BA degree in Business, Materials Management, Manufacturing Operations or similar.

    + 2-5 years of Supply Chain/Planning experience

    + Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel in particular

    + Experience in SAP system preferred but not required

    + Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

    + Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and be flexible with the ability to multi-task

    + Must be a self-starter, highly energetic and able to work with little supervision
