Zurich North America is currently seeking a **Senior Performance Analyst** (Level I or II) who brings a consulting mindset and strategic orientation to financial analysis to join our Finance Business Performance Management Team. Rather than focusing on traditional accounting tasks, this role is about business partnering, building financial models, supporting decision-making, and developing insights that influence company strategy.
We are offering the flexibility to work out of our Schaumburg Headquarters, our Chicago Downtown office, as well as hybrid combined with working remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, our customers, and the team.
**Key Responsibilities** as Senior Performance Analyst include:
+ Partner with business leaders across departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.
+ Analyze business performance trends and key financial drivers, identifying risks and opportunities.
+ Support forecasting and planning processes across the company, communicating timelines, requirements and acting as point of contact.
+ Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
+ Prepare presentations and reports to support strategic planning and performance managementto a broad range of executive audiences (e.g., North American Executive Committee, Finance Leadership team, Group Planning & Performance Management).
+ Help enhance and automate FP&A tools, processes, and management insights capabilities.
This role will be filled at either the Senior Performance Analyst (Level I or II). The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.
Basic Qualifications for the Senior Performance Analyst I:
+ Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance areaOR
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance areaOR
+ Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance areaAND
+ Experience with accounting and financial reporting, general ledger and reporting tools
OR
Basic Qualifications for Senior Performance Analyst II:
+ Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance areaOR
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance areaOR
+ Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
+ Experience with planning/forecasting models and Power BI or other visualization / scorecard tools
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong analytical skills and ability to process complex data, identify trends, and ensure accuracy
+ Curiosity, proactivity, and interconnected thinking
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a strong attention to detail
+ Proven consulting skills, including stakeholder engagement, strategic problem-solving, and delivering actionable insights to senior leadership
+ 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a strategic finance/FP&A role
+ Insurance industry experience
+ CFA candidacy a plus but not required
At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is$71,100.00 -$154,000.00.The proposed salary range for the Level I is$71,100.00 -$116,500.00,with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%. The proposed salary range for the Level II is$94,100.00 -$154,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
