About this role

As an HVAC Senior Journeyman with Carrier, you will uniquely impact our customers, becoming the face of the confidence, we stand by while ensuring their comfort. Your knowledge of Commercial HVAC will be critical in working on a variety of installations, repairs, and maintenance projects. Key Responsibilities:

+ Inspect and service chiller units to ensure efficient operation; (100-2000 ton size range).

+ Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on large tonnage chillers (100-2000 tons).

+ Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions

+ Install, replace, or repair faulty parts parts and components; calibrate controls.

+ Perform factory startups of new chillers

+ Inspect operating chillers and observeand log pressures, temperature, power datato ensure efficient operation of the unit and make necessary adjustments.

+ Have knowledge and proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing chiller faults, alerts, and performance issues.

+ Adjust and maintain internal electrical and electronic control systems and starters.Assist in sales in identifying labor, parts and materials needed for repair estimates.

+ Maintain maintenance records as required by City, State, and EPA regulations

+ Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required

+ Recognize and identify potential risks and hazards associated with performing all work-related duties safely. Complete pre-job safety survey and perform work per Carrier Safety guidelines.

+ Work to mitigate potential risks associated with essential duties

+ Collaborate with management personnel to maintain safe working environments

+ Participate in a comprehensive OSHA-approved safety course (preferably an OSHA 10- or 30-hour course) and adhere to company and regulatory compliance programs

+ Obtain or carry an EPA refrigerant license

+ Wear appropriate company-issued uniform.

Required Qualifications:

As a Senior Journeyman, you understand the importance of providing expert and quality service. We are looking for an individual who has:

+ Must Have High School Diploma/GED

+ 8+ years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry

+ Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50lbs, climb a ladder and work on rooftops

+ Ability to stand, crawl, sit, squat of extended period of times

+ Must Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier

+ Ability to join the union, or be current union member

+ 5+ years of Chiller Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Other experience and qualities you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

+ Understanding of chiller control controls

+ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

+ Experience using Salesforce and ServiceMax is a plus

Pay Range:

$33.17 - $55.77 per hour
