**Kadiak, LLC** is seeking a Systems Engineer/Solution Architect to lead the design, integration, and optimization of health IT systems within the Indian Health Service (IHS) environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in electronic health record (EHR) systems, DevOps practices, legacy system migration, systems engineering, and cybersecurity frameworks.

Responsibilities:
+ Health IT Systems and EHR Architecture:
+ Comprehensive knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems, enterprise health IT architecture, and associated clinical/business workflows within the IHS environment.
+ Understanding of health interoperability frameworks (e.g., HL7, FHIR, Direct Secure Messaging, HIE) and data exchange requirements as specified in the Federal Register and PWS Section 5.4.1.
+ DevOps and Automation Tools:
+ Deep understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
+ Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
+ Legacy System and Data Management:
+ Knowledge of legacy clinical and non-clinical systems within IHS and methods for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
+ Expertise in querying and analyzing legacy data systems to support data migration and analytics.
+ Systems Engineering and Configuration Management:
+ Knowledge of system engineering lifecycle principles including requirements management, configuration management, system validation, and risk management (per MIL-HDBK-61B).
+ Familiarity with configuration management platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, and CMDBs (Configuration Management Databases).
+ Cybersecurity and Privacy:
+ Working knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and IHS cybersecurity requirements aligned with Executive Order 14028.
+ Understanding of HIPAA and 21st Century Cures Act privacy requirements.
Required Skills/Experience:
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
+ Systems Analysis & Technical Documentation:
+ Ability to assess, document, and validate complex system designs and workflows.
+ Skilled in identifying integration gaps and interoperability risks, and preparing architectural artifacts.
+ Cross-functional Collaboration:
+ Strong ability to engage and coordinate with diverse technical and functional teams including program managers, clinical staff, data architects, and vendors.
+ DevOps Implementation:
+ Hands-on skills implementing CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and deployment frameworks for healthcare applications.
+ Data Querying and Analysis:
+ Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other query languages to retrieve and analyze data from legacy systems.
+ Ability to support data quality, cleansing, and validation for migration initiatives.
+ Communication and Reporting:
+ Skilled in translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
+ Ability to prepare and present system engineering assessments, risk mitigation plans, and architecture briefings.
