    Enterprise Data Management & Products (EDMP), a key part of our Technology organization, focuses on delivering data products that fuel business growth and unlock value, while also shaping robust data management strategies and governance solutions.     The Enterprise Data Office (EDO) is part of the American Express Technology (AET) organization and sets the enterprise strategy for and delivery of critical data-related initiatives required to accelerate the ongoing digital transformation of American Express products and services, enhance the overall customer experience, strengthen our data strategy and practices, and drive our continued growth.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Analyzing and identifying requirements across American Express’s risk and policy landscape that impact data risk and data-related policies.

    + Collaborating with policy and standard owners and their teams to update data-related policies, standards, and other supporting documentation, as needed.

    + Establishing consistent templates and standards for policy and risk-related documentation within the Enterprise Data Office, e.g., Procedures, Data Risk Assessments, etc.

    + Developing general and role-based training materials to drive knowledge and awareness around data management concepts, policies, standards, and procedures.

    + Establishing and maintaining risk assessment templates and frameworks and lists of appropriate controls across the data supply chain and data lifecycle.

    + Collaborating across the Enterprise Data Office and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lines of defense teams to ensure risk and policy alignment.

    + Providing support for audit and regulatory exams and continuous monitoring over the data governance program, as needed.

    + Supporting the integration of Policy and Standards requirements into key processes across the organization.

    + Champion a culture of data accountability, stewardship, and data-driven decision making to ensure successful adoption of data governance practices across the enterprise.

    + Provide executive-level communication, reporting regularly to stakeholders across the enterprise on data governance risk and policy integration and strategic alignment.

    Qualification Requirements:

    + 8 year’s experience developing and implementing Data strategies and policies.

    + Experience with implementing privacy and data governance regulatory requirements and industry frameworks, including Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) 239 Principles. Experience developing training content

    + Experience managing stakeholders across different functional groups (legal, technology, business, etc.) to drive collaboration and alignment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 8 years within a Data Management, Data Governance, or Risk function within a Global Systemically Important Bank (G-SIB).

    + 5 years of experience delivering within a global change management program, with demonstrated success in driving widespread adoption.

    + Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment often with significant ambiguity and needing to make decisions with less than perfect information.

    + Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate complex concepts across a broad stakeholder base, including a senior executive audience.

    + High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability and resiliency; and

    + A track record of leading and encouraging large teams through sophisticated initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Salary Range: $150,000.00 to $225,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
