Job Summary and Qualifications

Position responsibilities: · Repair and maintain various machinery and mechanical equipment, using proper hand and power tools and appropriate test equipment · Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and systems. To include visual and internal inspections, adjustments and lubrication of mechanical/electrical components and repair or replacement of parts as needed · Perform maintenance and testing on all medical air and gas systems and equipment · Performs inspections and maintenance on equipment throughout the facility as assigned. Examples: electrical switches/lighting, plumbing fixtures and piping, and equipment mechanical failures · Requisition to maintain a required stock of materials and repair parts for assigned duties · Maintenance of the fire alarm system and related equipment · Performs efficiently with CPCS · Attends unit meetings, in services and other education programs to maintain competency requirements · Performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department · Attend Code of Conduct training course annually · Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to HCA’s Code of Conduct

• Demonstrates conduct that is reflective of THRH’s commitment to HCA’s Code of Conduct · Understands and satisfies the needs of the patient population appropriate to the age of the patient served (adults, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric, and parents of neonates) · Adheres to the Standards of Behavior for Terre Haute Regional Hospital as per the Customer Relations Policy

What qualifications you will need:

Essential educational/licensure, skills and experience: · High School Graduate or equivalent. · Valid Indiana Driver’s License · Previous experience with electrical controls and equipment controls preferred (operate volt/amp meter). · Previous Fire and Safety experience required
