    Position Overview

    The Machine Operator III is a senior-level machinist responsible for independently operating, setting up, and troubleshooting a wide variety of CNC and manual machines. This role involves overseeing complex production processes, mentoring junior machinists, and ensuring the highest level of quality in finished products. This position is suited for individuals with advanced machining skills and leadership potential.

    Key Responsibilities

    Expertly set up, program, and operate CNC and manual machines for tight-tolerance production runs.

     

    Troubleshoot complex machine and tooling issues to minimize downtime.

     

    Inspect and verify conformance of machined parts using advanced measurement tools and techniques.

     

    Provide training, guidance, and technical support to lower-level machinists.

     

    Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency and product quality.

     

    Collaborate closely with engineers and supervisors on technical projects.

     

    Ensure all safety, quality, and production standards are met and maintained.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma required; vocational/technical certification preferred.

     

    Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machinist in a production environment.

     

    Understanding of precision measuring tools.

     

    Strong understanding of manufacturing prints and GD&T quality specifications.

    Skills & Requirements:

    Advanced expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and precision machining.

     

    Strong troubleshooting abilities with an understanding of machining technologies.

     

    Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.

     

    Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

     

    Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

     

    Ability to lift and manage materials up to 50 lbs.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods.

     

    Ability to lift up to 30lbs and work with tools and machinery safely.

     

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    Pay Range: $28.00-$34.00/hour
