The community you’ll be caring for:

AdventHealth is expanding, bringing our quality, compassionate whole-person care to western Johnson County. Our new hospital and medical campus — AdventHealth Lenexa City Center — will open in 2025.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Certified Central Processing Tech functions as a member of the support team for the hospital. He/she is responsible for the decontamination and sterilization of instrumentation and equipment used in providing direct patient care. The Certified Central Processing Tech is cross-trained to assume all responsibilities within the scope of the Central Processing Department.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

+ Accurately assemble instrument trays.

+ Sterilize instruments.

+ Return sterile instruments to their proper location.

+ Stock patient care equipment.

+ Able to accurately identify instruments

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma

+ Able to accurately identify instruments

+ Ability to operate Steam Sterilizers

+ Ability to operate Washer Disinfector

+ Accurately read and document Biological results

+ Properly clean patient care equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

+ One to two years of position-related experience

+ Junior college/Technical School

+ Certification obtained through IAHCSMM or CBSPD – must be obtained within 1 year of employment

+ BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
