Introduction

IBM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to lead our Financial Services Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) division within IBM Consulting in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial services industry, strong business development acumen, and a proven track record of driving growth and profitability.

Your role and responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive growth in the Financial Services BPO sector, aligning with IBM's overall corporate strategy.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the financial services industry, including C-suite executives, to identify new business opportunities.

*

Leverage industry knowledge and market intelligence to position IBM's BPO solutions effectively, making compelling sales pitches and proposals to prospective clients.

*

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, delivery, and operations, to ensure seamless transition from proposal to project execution.

*

Conduct regular market analysis and competitive landscape assessments to stay ahead of trends and adjust strategies accordingly.

*

Manage and lead the business development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance coaching to drive team success.

*

Contribute to the creation of thought leadership pieces, such as whitepapers, articles, and presentations, that highlight IBM's capabilities and expertise in the financial services sector.

*

Represent IBM at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, promoting IBM's brand and strengthening relationships with current and potential clients.

-Drive growth and sales for Distribution BPO for Finance & Procurement

-Drive large, strategic deals

-Act as Integrated Program lead for strategic BPO programs

Required technical and professional expertise

Minimum of 12 years of experience in business development, sales, or related fields, with at least 7 years in the financial services industry.

*

Proven track record of developing and closing high-value deals in the BPO sector.

*

In-depth understanding of the financial services industry, including banking, insurance, and capital markets.

*

Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate complex business ideas into compelling value propositions.

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at the executive level.

*

Experience leading and developing a high-performing team.
