What You'll Be Doing
+ Responsible for ensuring the proper mix design, scale weights and water demand of mix designs at batch plants.
+ Performs physical tests on ready mix concrete at plant, such as slump, entrained air, unit weight and yield.
+ Assist Operations and Maintenance departments with refining the batching process and assist with implementation of the Operator Verification program.
+ At point of delivery, spot checks same physical properties as above and discusses necessary adjustments in batch weights with Manager, plus observes workability, finishability, and contractor’s use or misuse of product.
+ Performs physical tests on ready mix concrete aggregates, such as gradations, decants, sand equivalency, specific gravity and density, absorption.
+ Prepares and performs physical tests on laboratory mix concrete batches such as slump, entrained air, unit weight and yield, time of setting and compressive strength.
+ Performs on site surveys of fleets and facilities producing products so as to be able to identify delivery problems and recommend solutions.

Conditions of Employment
+ Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
+ Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
Physical Requirements
+ The ability to lift 50 pounds waist high a minimum of 40 times per day.
+ The ability to climb an 8 foot plus ladder a minimum of 100 times per day.
+ The ability to visually inspect concrete or its ingredients for acceptance.
+ The ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.
+ The ability to stand and walk on uneven or slippery surfaces for 8 hours plus daily.
+ The ability to shovel concrete, up to 45 lbs, at least 10 times per day.
+ Must pass periodic random drug screens.
+ Must be able to legally operate a company vehicle for a minimum 8 hours per day including entering and exiting the vehicle frequently.
Work Environment
Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
