What You'll Do
Employment Trainer Help the people we support achieve success in their jobs by providing hands-on training, advocacy, and ongoing support. This role focuses on skill-building, workplace integration, and fostering independence.
Responsibilities:
+ Train the people we support to meet job expectations and develop workplace skills.
+ Advocate for inclusion, integration, and productivity in the workplace.
+ Offer supportive counseling to address social and job-related concerns.
+ Assist with job development to match employment goals and skills.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
+ Participate in training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices.
+ Collaborate with agency staff to prepare individuals for community employment.
Requirements
+ Exceptional communication and computer skills.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ Ability to be certified in all required trainings.
+ Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
+ One-year experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred).
+ High School Diploma or GED (now called TASC)
