Assistant Director - Futures Without Violence

Overview:
Join WJCS in this exciting new role as the Assistant Director (AD) of Futures Without Violence. In this role, you will help launch our Futures Without Violence program, and collaborate with DSS to support families experiencing violence. This role includes supervising advocates in four Westchester County DSS offices, providing administrative support, and ensuring program integration. The AD will serve as a liaison between WJCS and DSS, maintaining family connections within a Safe & Together Model.
The salary range is $70,000 - $75,000. This position is based out of White Plains, and will travel to the sites in Mt. Vernon, Yonkers, and Peekskill.
Responsibilities:
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ Lead program implementation
+ Supervise Advocates at DSS sites and visit the sites daily
+ Coordinate with the clinical team for referrals and documentation
+ Guide clients and staff through available services and supports
+ Maintain records and ensure timely reporting
+ Track and ensure timely submission of reports and documentation
+ Prepare reports for court and sentencing as needed
+ Act as liaison between CVASS, advocates, clinical team, DSS, and program leadership
+ Oversee program policies related to safety and well-being
+ Facilitate timely referrals to services for survivors of violence
+ Monitor staff performance and program outcomes
+ Provide coverage for the 24-hour hotline
+ Ensure proper record keeping and billing compliance
+ Recruit, hire, and train program Advocates
+ Respond to client emergencies, as needed
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
+ Background in advocacy services
+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
+ Flexibility to work early mornings and evenings
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish
+ Ability to travel between sites
+ Master’s degree required (MSW or other clinical degree)
+ 2 years minimal experience working with survivors of violence/crime and DSS involved families.
+ Supervisory and advocacy experience.
