Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Identity Access Architect (IAA) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of identity and access management (IAM) solutions for our organization, in Lafayette. The ideal candidate will specialize in Okta and will possess deep expertise in IAM protocols like SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect. This role is critical for improving our security posture and streamlining identity-related automation to enhance user and system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design and Implementation:
+ Architect scalable and secure IAM solutions leveraging Okta products, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Lifecycle Management (Source: Robert Half Job Search Guide 2024).
+ Configure and troubleshoot protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect to support integrations with internal and external applications.
+ Automation & Integration:
+ Develop and deploy automation frameworks for provisioning, deprovisioning, role mapping, and user life cycle management to reduce operational overhead (Source: Robert Half Career Development Insights).
+ Utilize tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for system tasks and process improvements.
+ Security Management:
+ Lead initiatives to ensure proper governance and compliance of identity solutions in alignment with security best practices (Source: Robert Half Job Search Landscape).
+ Conduct regular audits and risk assessments of IAM policies and processes.
+ Collaboration:
+ Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, DevOps, and Security, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of IAM architectures.

+ Continuous Improvement:
+ Stay current with IAM trends, compliance standards, and emerging technologies to bring innovative solutions to the organization.
+ Proactively identify gaps and propose solutions to improve the efficiency of authentication, authorization, and user experience.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Okta.
+ Solid understanding and hands-on experience with protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect (Source: Robert Half Career Development Tips).
+ Proven expertise in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar).
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ Comprehensive knowledge of IAM principles, organizational policies, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Relevant certifications in Okta, IAM, or security (e.g., Okta Certified Consultant, CISSP, or similar).
+ Familiarity with cloud-based IAM solutions for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
+ Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
