    Job Title: Staff Accountant

     

    Salary: $65-80K + Bonus

     

    My client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role involves handling general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and various routine accounting functions for entities across the organization. The ideal candidate is eager to grow within the company, enjoys streamlining processes, and excels at collaborating with stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform monthly and quarterly close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations

    + Manage routine accounting tasks such as journal entries for revenue, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, and debt transactions

    + Collaborate with finance and operations teams to produce ad-hoc accounting reports

    + Act as a liaison with external auditors, lenders, and vendors

    + Assist in preparing cash forecasts to analyze short and long-term liquidity needs

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    + 1–2 years of external audit or general ledger accounting experience at a for-profit company

    + Familiarity with technical accounting subjects and consolidation/intercompany activities

    + Experience with accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, or similar general ledger systems is preferred

    + Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, treasury, operations, legal)

    + Problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to make timely, data-driven decisions

    + Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
