Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, testing, and optimizing CNC machine programs to produce precision parts and components. This role involves interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tools and materials, and ensuring that machined parts meet quality and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Create and modify CNC programs for milling, turning, and other machining operations using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM).
+ Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to determine machining requirements.
+ Set up CNC machines and perform test runs to validate program accuracy.
+ Collaborate with engineers and machinists to refine processes and improve part quality and production efficiency.
+ Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues as they arise.
+ Maintain program documentation, revision control, and related technical records.
+ Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes and workflow.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred.
+ 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) and G-code programming.
+ Strong understanding of machining principles, material properties, and tooling.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD& T symbols.
+ Experience with CNC machine setup and operation is a plus.
+ Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
