Description
We are looking for a dedicated Real Estate Tax Specialist to join our clients team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will handle critical responsibilities such as managing real estate tax payments, preparing necessary tax documentation, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with clients, tax entities, and internal teams to enhance operational processes.
Responsibilities:
• Review and verify tax reports to ensure accurate tax line setups for managed properties.
• Establish and maintain tax accounts for newly acquired real estate assets.
• Process and review property tax renditions, assessment notices, and tax bills in a timely manner.
• Reconcile estimated property tax liability accruals for accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze and refine property tax processes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, tax authorities, and accounting staff to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Address additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a high school diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in property tax payables is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with agricultural property descriptions is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Office 365, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of tools such as CCH ProSystem Fx, QuickBooks, and SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong skills in compliance, tax reporting, and corporate tax processes.
• Ability to perform ad hoc reporting and compliance audits effectively.
