Description

We are looking for a skilled Billing Specialist to join our team in Morristown, New Jersey. This Billing Specialist role involves supporting our practice groups by handling billing operations, including electronic and hourly billing. The ideal Billing Specialist will bring attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. Other responsibilities for this Billing Specialist will include but not be limited to:

Core Billing Specialist Responsibilities:

• Compile and process attorney hours for client billing in a timely manner.

• Review and edit pre-billing drafts based on feedback from attorneys and administrative staff.

• Allocate retainer funds as instructed by attorneys to meet billing requirements.

• Execute write-offs and ensure proper documentation of adjustments.

• Collaborate with billing, collections, and accounts receivable teams to maintain financial accuracy.

• Manage a high volume of billing processes each month while meeting deadlines.

• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and administrative teams to resolve billing queries.

• Verify the accuracy of billing records and supporting documents to ensure compliance.

• Generate detailed billing schedules, analyses, and monthly financial reports.

• Investigate and address billing discrepancies or issues promptly.

This Billing Specialist position is paying between $55,000 and $65,000 annually depending on experience. If interested in this Billing Specialist role apply today!

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a billing role, preferably within a law firm or a detail-oriented services environment.

• Proficiency in billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes.

• Familiarity with SurePoint and Intapp systems is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines.

• Experience with electronic billing and handling complex billing scenarios.

• Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis related to billing operations.
