    Apartment Maintenance Technician

    • Oakland, CA

    • Contract | Full-Time | Monday–Friday Schedule

    Job Overview:

    We’re seeking a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician for an ongoing contract role with a well-maintained residential property in Oakland. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day maintenance tasks, ensuring residents have a safe, clean, and fully functioning living environment. Mainly assisting with apartment turnover.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly

    + Diagnose and repair issues in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances

    + Perform routine maintenance, including painting, drywall repair, and general upkeep

    + Conduct inspections of apartments before and after move-ins/outs

    + Maintain cleanliness and safety in common areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior grounds

    + Assist with turnover of vacant units, including cleaning and repairs

    + Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs when needed

    + Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and materials used

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    + experience in apartment or property maintenance

    + Strong skills in plumbing, electrical, painting, and basic HVAC

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor

    + Excellent troubleshooting and time management skills

    + Reliable transportation and punctuality
