Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Bronxville, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations while contributing to various accounting tasks. Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy between Raiser’s Edge and the general ledger.

• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment preparation.

• Record and maintain journal entries with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP, to analyze and organize financial data.

• Support grant activity tracking and reporting, collaborating effectively with team members to meet deadlines.

• Assist with rolling forward reconciliations and updating financial records as needed.

• Provide flexible support to various accounting and administrative tasks, adapting to shifting priorities.

• Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement solutions for process improvements. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and general ledger management.

• Strong skills in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and communication.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support diverse accounting needs.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

• Prior experience in grant activity tracking is a plus but not required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
