Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Access Specialist in Lewiston, Maine. This role is in the healthcare industry where you will be interacting with customers and patients, managing their accounts, and handling their inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Engage in patient-facing activities and provide a high level of customer service.
• Process patient credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
• Responsible for answering inbound calls and dealing with patient queries promptly.
• Maintain an up-to-date record of patient credit information.
• Perform authorizations, benefit functions, and billing functions as part of the role.
• Participate in clinical trial operations as required.
• Monitor patient accounts and take necessary actions based on account status.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ HS Diploma or GED required
+ Previous experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, call center, etc.)
+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
+ Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
Multiple shifts with rotating schedules available, varying hours, shift differential available
