Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Downers Grove, Illinois. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing business-to-business (B2B) collections while ensuring timely resolution of outstanding invoices. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Handle business-to-business (B2B) collections, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding payments.

• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to address and resolve payment discrepancies.

• Analyze account histories and payment trends to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.

• Adapt to changing work priorities, procedures, and job duties as needed to meet business demands.

• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and prepare reports for management.

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance collection efficiency.

• Utilize analytical skills to evaluate account performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations during all collection activities. Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in B2B collections and a total of 5 years in collections.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts.

• Strong analytical abilities to assess account histories and payment trends.

• Proven ability to adapt to changes in work environment, priorities, and procedures.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records.

• Familiarity with standard collection practices and regulations.

• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for collections.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
