Description

Robert Half has a new direct-hire opportunity for a Bookkeeper in the Beltsville, MD area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing general and operational accounting duties. This position will give you the opportunity to grow your accounting knowledge and experience. This role sits on site full-time Monday-Friday. Essential Functions

+ Reconcile bank accounts monthly; verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks

+ Accounts payables and receivables

+ Communicate with third-party vendors regarding financial matters

+ Assist with month-end close responsibilities

+ Post prepaid and accrued expenses journal entries

+ Assist with reconciliations

+ Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements • Proficiency in bookkeeping and understanding of the key concepts

• Demonstrated experience in performing bookkeeping functions such as recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions

• Proficient in managing accounts payable (AP), including invoice processing, reconciliation, and vendor communication

• Capable of handling accounts receivable (AR), such as invoice generation, payment tracking, and customer communication

• Strong organizational skills to manage financial records and ensure accuracy

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot any discrepancies in financial data

• Working knowledge of financial software programs to streamline bookkeeping processes

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
