Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a Contract-to-permanent opportunity, offering the chance to collaborate with a dedicated and supportive accounting team. The ideal candidate will excel in cash application processes, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate the ability to resolve discrepancies effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately apply cash receipts to customer accounts, ensuring timely and precise processing.

• Conduct collections activities to address outstanding balances and maintain positive client relationships.

• Assist with billing tasks, ensuring invoices are accurate and delivered promptly.

• Research and resolve discrepancies, presenting findings to the audit team for resolution.

• Participate in cleanup efforts related to historical accounting records and processes.

• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel to manage data, including creating VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

• Strong understanding of cash application processes and related accounting principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

• Ability to research and reconcile complex discrepancies effectively.

• Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems.

• A collaborative and positive attitude, with the ability to work well within a team environment.
