Description We are looking for a talented and dynamic Community Relations Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in New York, New York, and focuses on building strong media relationships, crafting compelling pitches, and staying ahead of trends in the AI industry. The ideal candidate will be skilled at collaborating across teams, understanding the media landscape, and ensuring impactful communication strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging media pitches that align with current news cycles and AI industry trends.

• Stay informed on breaking news and industry developments to identify opportunities for timely and relevant media outreach.

• Collaborate with internal teams to identify content gaps and create AI-focused materials that resonate with target audiences.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets across various sectors.

• Act as a liaison between media outlets and internal teams, relaying feedback to refine content and enhance its appeal.

• Strategically identify whitespace opportunities in AI coverage to position the company as an industry leader.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to present creative ideas and ensure seamless collaboration.

• Represent the organization with attention to detail, particularly when engaging with senior executives and external partners.

• Utilize tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, CMS platforms, and CRM systems to manage content and campaigns effectively.

• Monitor and evaluate the success of media strategies, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Requirements • Proven experience in media relations, public relations, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of news cycles, particularly in the AI industry and emerging technologies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across teams and with external partners.

• Expertise in crafting compelling pitches and adapting content for diverse media outlets.

• Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, CMS platforms, CRM systems, and blogging platforms.

• Demonstrated ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of AI products, strategies, and industry trends.
