Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is essential in ensuring financial accuracy and supporting the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliations, to maintain financial integrity.

• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed.

• Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial reports are completed on time.

• Utilize SAP and Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and create reports.

• Support special projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency in accounting.

• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger systems and journal entries.

• Experience with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

• Skilled in using SAP and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
