    Role at a Glance

    At its core, Gecko’s sales team is responsible for helping customers solve some of their hardest problems. As a Sales Manager, you will manage the growth strategy for accounts across the energy and manufacturing ecosystems. You will leverage experience engaging with a range of personas, including executives, to strengthen and build relationships, and partner with customers to help solve their challenges and accomplish their goals. You will advocate Gecko’s solutions in critical industries, communicating the power of innovation for enhancing the reliability, safety, and sustainability of infrastructure.

    What you will do

    + Prospect and engage new customers at senior decision making levels - Directors, VPs, SVPs, and C-suite - and be responsible for a quota that represents a minimum of 2X annual growth

    + Build relationships with existing and prospective customers to influence their short-term and long-term capital and operational decisions, earning trusted advisor status with them

    + Own the end to end growth strategy for certain accounts, from prospecting to relationship building to stakeholder mapping to negotiating and closing 7- and 8- figure deals

    + Work cross-functionally with Gecko’s forward deployed, operations, engineering, and product teams to deliver tailored solutions that maximize impact for customers, provide a seamless customer experience, and drive pipeline and business growth

    + Prioritize your time to focus on the highest-value opportunities, and leverage internal resources and support accordingly

    + Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos, answer questions, and do problem discovery

    + Travel to customer sites up to 80% of the time domestically

     

    About You

    Required Skills

    + Business, economics, engineering, or sciences degree

    + Proven track record of supporting and closing long-term engagements, and developing territories/accounts from scratch, while ensuring customer success, adoption, and expansion

    + Experience leading sales pitches, customer engagements, and value discussions in various situations - ranging from Zoom to Steel Toes to a suit.

    + Strong interpersonal and organizational intuition, with a talent for identifying key partners and change agents within companies

    + Experience working with internal/external teams, including operations teams, technical/engineering leads, procurement, and legal, to scope comprehensive solutions, build business cases, communicate value stories, and close agreements

    + Ability to travel 25% to 75% of the time, often to remote locations where industrial sites are located

    Preferred Skills

    + Experience selling complex solutions or value-added services

    + Experience selling for a startup or new product line/business unit

    + Industry/domain expertise in power/utilities, oil & gas, heavy manufacturing, chemicals, or government (federal/state/local)

    $130K – $200K

    This range is representative of the starting base salary for this role at Gecko based on the current available market data; it does not include bonuses, equity, or other salary components. Where a candidate falls in the range will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location.
