Basic Job Functions:
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Leading the efforts to continually improve our safety, quality, cost, reliability, productivity, profitability, and team member development of our division. Meet with internal clients to achieve project goals, expectations and clarify specific requirements of each project. Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes. Clearly communicate project tasks, scopes and duration to teammates involved. Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or products or to reduce costs, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts. Apply continuous improvement methods, such as lean manufacturing, to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness. Track project performance for the successful completion of short and long-term goals. Meet budgetary objectives. Maintain and improve industrial manufacturing processes utilizing robotics and mechatronics systems and feedback control technology. Design, implement and optimize process improvement plans to improve operability and reliability in a manufacturing environment utilizing Six Sigma Methodology (DMAIC). Installation and startup testing of new equipment (generation, execution and close out of engineering test plans). Utilize relevant engineering computer software programs such as MS Office, MS Project, Visio, SQL, SAP or other ERP system. Utilizing advanced concepts of 2D and 3D, surface modeling and printing designs in AutoCad, Unigraphics or Solid Works. Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with team members and the managers. Use and continually develop leadership skills. Up to 30% domestic and international travel to manufacturing sites required.

Minimum Qualifications:
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical, Electrical or directly related Engineering field and three (3) years of experience maintaining and improving industrial manufacturing processes utilizing robotics and mechatronics systems and feedback control technology. Experience must include: Design, implement and optimize process improvement plans to improve operability and reliability in a manufacturing environment utilizing Six Sigma Methodology (DMAIC). Installation and startup testing of new equipment (generation, execution and close out of engineering test plans). Experience programming utilizing relevant engineering computer software programs such as MS Office, MS Project, Visio, SQL, SAP or other ERP system. Utilizing advanced concepts of 2D and 3D, surface modeling and printing designs in AutoCad, Unigraphics or Solid Works. Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt certification and Total Productive Maintenance certification. Up to 30% domestic and international travel to manufacturing sites required.
