Job Summary

The Architect role requires a seasoned professional with 8 to 12 years of experience in data integration and ETL processes. The candidate will use their expertise in Ab Initio and related technologies to design and implement robust data solutions. The role involves working in a hybrid model with a focus on Property & Casualty Insurance domain ensuring seamless data flow and integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data integration solutions using Ab Initio (required) Talend (Basic understanding) tools to enhance data processing capabilities.

Good Knowledge in Glue EC2 S3 and containerization related services.

Good knowledge in Python or Java.

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction transformation and loading.

• Apply Ab Initio Express>It and External Scheduler to automate data workflows and improve operational efficiency.

• Implement Ab Initio Metadata Hub for effective data governance and metadata management.

• Apply PL/SQL skills to manage and manipulate data within relational databases.

• Ensure consistency to data warehousing concepts to maintain data integrity and consistency.

• Oversee scheduling basics to ensure timely execution of data processes.

• Use SQL for querying and analyzing data to support business decision-making.

• Employ Unix Shell Scripting to automate routine tasks and streamline operations.

• Leverage Ab Initio GDE and Conduct>It for graphical development and process orchestration.

• Use Ab Initio Co>Operating System for seamless integration and execution of data processes.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure data solutions align with business objectives and supply to strategic goals.

• Provide technical guidance and support to team members to further a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Qualifications

• Possess strong expertise in Ab Initio and related technologies essential for designing effective data solutions.

• Show talent in PL/SQL and SQL crucial for running and analyzing data within databases.

• Have a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts necessary for maintaining data integrity.

• Show experience in Unix Shell Scripting beneficial for automating tasks and improving efficiency.

• Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance domain is advantageous providing industry-specific insights.

• Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a hybrid model ensuring flexibility and adaptability.

• Display good communication skills essential for collaborating with multi-functional teams.

Certifications Required

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 – $ 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
