**The Building Automation - Honeywell Building Technologies** business unit within Honeywell is a global provider of products, software, solutions, and technologies that enable building owners and occupants to ensure their facilities are safe, energy efficient, sustainable, and productive. **As a Sr Systems Test & Automation Engineer** within our (BA) Building Automation business unit, specifically within the Fire Software team, you will be a key contributor to the development, testing and automation of software solutions for commercial fire safety and protection. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in product design, testing, and automation to create and enhance innovative fire safety software solutions. Your focus will be in ensuring that systems have the highest levels of safety, reliability, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
+ **System Test Automation:**
+ Develop and implement automated testing strategies to enhance product reliability and performance.
+ Utilize software solutions and APIs to build efficient testing frameworks **.**
+ Expertise in automation tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
+ **Scale Handling:**
+ Optimize solutions that can effectively manage large-scale systems, ensuring they are efficient and robust across diverse operational environments.
+ **Embedded Systems Knowledge:**
+ Apply your embedded systems knowledge to support product design and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software components. Ensure effective testing and validation of products.
+ **IOT Solutions:**
+ Support the integration of IoT technologies into fire safety software solutions, improving connectivity, functionality, and overall user experience.
+ Testing APIs to ensure proper communication and data exchange between IoT devices and back-end services
+ **Product Mindset** :
+ Maintain a customer-centric approach throughout the product lifecycle. Continuously innovate and iterate based on user feedback to enhance product capabilities and responsiveness to market needs.
YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
+ A minimum of 6 years of experience in Automation, Test, software product design, and/or development
+ Strong technical expertise in software solutions.
WE VALUE
+ A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, ora related field
+ Experience with API development and automation in the context of product testing and development.
+ Expertise in Automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium) tostreamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
+ Familiaritywith CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins) to facilitate automated testingwithin the development pipeline.
+ APITesting and Automation
+ Solid understanding of IoT solutions and their applications is of value.
+ Demonstrated experience in scaling systems effectively.
+ Previousexperience in a fast-paced software development environment will be highlyadvantageous.
+ Familiarity within building automation, fire safety or related domains is of value but not required.
+ Excellentproblem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.
+ Strong analyticalabilities and attention to detail.
+ Effectivecommunication and collaboration skills to work with internal and externalstakeholders.
