As a Senior Finance Manager for Projects here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in overseeing and driving the financial aspects of our Building Automation Projects portfolio – where Honeywell installs various building management, fire and security solutions across key verticals. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the financial success and profitability of projects by providing strategic financial guidance and oversight. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and business guides to drive financial performance, mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our projects and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company. You will report directly to our Finance Director and you’ll work out of our 1 location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the success of our projects by:

- Providing strategic financial guidance and oversight to project teams

- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for projects

- Driving financial performance and profitability through effective cost management and revenue optimization strategies

- Mitigating financial risks and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies and processes specific to project management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide strategic financial guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring financial success and profitability

• Develop and implement financial strategies and processes specific to project management, driving efficiency and effectiveness

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial thoughtfulness

• Drive financial performance and profitability through effective cost management and revenue optimization strategies

• Mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

• Work with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and business guides, to drive project success and financial performance

• Provide guidance and mentorship to finance professionals assisting projects, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

YOU MUST HAVE

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on project financial management

• Strong knowledge of financial management ethics and practices

• Experience in driving financial performance and profitability through effective cost management and revenue optimization strategies

• Excellent guidance and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

• Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices in project financial management

• Strategic mindset with the ability to provide financial insights and recommendations at a project level

• Experience in project management or working closely with project teams

• Strong thoughtful and problem-solving skills
