Position Overview:
The FCCC Associate is responsible for the recruitment of parents and residents as well as coordination of all aspects of the Community Connections efforts, including facilitation of resident meetings and parent focus groups. The FCCC Associate will also be responsible for outreach, public relations, and assisting the director with reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Coordinates the day-to-day activities and logistics of the coalition
+ Informs providers, neighborhood residents/families of meetings, assignments, and events on an on-going basis via mailings/telephone or email
+ Assist the Director arranging trainings for volunteers, parents/residents, and providers
+ Information and Referral - develops linkages among providers and general membership to include parents/residents
+ Assist in preparing reports, as required by funders and Steering Committee
+ Attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions as necessary
+ Performs administrative duties as required by Steering Committee which may include preparation of agendas, minutes of meetings, and follow-up contacts
+ Performs all other duties necessary to plan and implement a successful citywide coalition, inclusive of Fitchburg's parents/residents and providers
Required Qualifications and Skills:
+ Associate’s degree in social work, human services, or related field, or at least 5 years of experience in a similar setting
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Organizing and activism experience preferred
+ Familiarity with Fitchburg's neighborhoods
+ Spanish speaking preferred
+ Demonstrated skills in group facilitation
+ Proficiency in basic computer applications required
+ Valid Proficiency with basic computer skills
+ MA Driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
+ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
+ Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Compensation:
A salary within the range of $20.43 to $27.64 per hour will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy.
