    Honeywell is hiring a **Manager, SOX** to sit in Morris Plains, NJ. This is a high visibility role that will partner with leaders in the corporate functions regarding internal control matters. This role requires the ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. This role will be responsible for driving awareness and accountability of SOX compliance requirements.

     

    This role will sit in either Morris Plains, NJ and will operate on a hybrid work schedule.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Understand the process and internal controls for Corporate functions

    + Identify opportunities for process improvement, including leveraging technology and tools

    + Drive awareness and accountability of SOX compliance requirements

    + Communicate responsibilities to business and functional leadership, leveraging the three lines of defense model

    + Communicate control deficiencies and findings to functional leadership

    + Project manage issues identified resulting from Corporate Audit, SOX testing or self-identified issues

    + Project manage External Audit internal control requests

    + Partner with Manager, Controllership Transformation to improve the efficiency and quality of our SOX program

    + Support internal controls reporting for leadership, including Audit Committee package

    + Support special projects and strategic initiatives as required.

     

    In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.

    YOU MUST HAVE:

    + Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting or Finance

    + 6+ years ofexperience in Accounting or Finance

    + 4+ years offoundational knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls (COSO and SOX), auditmethodology and business processes.

    + Experienceworking in a public accounting firm or large enterprise environment.

    + CPA
