    THE POSITION

    As a **IT Manager, Workplace Engineer (Compute, Mobile, Print)** , you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the workplace infrastructure, including end-user devices, collaboration tools, and support activities. Your role will involve ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our end compute systems, as well as implementing and maintaining best practices for workplace management. Additionally you will partner with cross-functional teams and senior executives to understand business needs and develop technology solutions that meet those needs.

     

    You will report directly to the IT Director of Worklplace Employee Experience. This role will work out of our Morris Plains, Charlotte or Houston location on a hybrid work schedule. This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

     

    In this role, you will have a significant impact on the employee experience by providing innovative technology solutions that enable a modern and flexible work environment. You will drive the adoption of digital tools and platforms that enhance communication, collaboration, and productivity. Your leadership will play a critical role in shaping the future of workplace technology at Honeywell.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Manage and oversee the workplace infrastructure, including end-user devices, collaboration tools, and support activities

    + Build and configure end user device images and profiles

    + Global print mangement configuration and operation

    + Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our IT systems

    + Implement and maintain best practices for workplace management

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades and enhancements

    + Monitor the performance of our workplace systems, ensuring swift resolution of technical challenges

    + Document system configurations, processes, and procedures, facilitating knowledge transfer and standardization

    YOU MUST HAVE

    + Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

    + 3+ years of experience in workplace engineering, end-user device management, and collaboration tools

    + 2+ years of experience creating and configuring standardized laptop images and mobile device profiles using MS Intune.

    + Experience with Windows, Mac, iOS and Android management

    + Proficiency in workplace administration, with a proven track record of accomplishments

    + Experience with Microsoft O365 and Azure toolsets

    + Exeprience with global print management systems

    + Prior experience in infrastructure automation technologies

    + Strong vendor management skills & experience working across geographies

    + ITIL certification

    + Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to lead system upgrade initiatives

    + Continuous improvement mindset and experience implementing process enhancements

    + Self motivated with a bias toward action
