    NOTICE OF POSITION

    POSITION: The Superintendent of Schools, Dr.Tonja M. Williams Knight, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

    CENTRAL COMMITTEE ON SPECIAL EDUCATION SPEECH LANGUAGE EVALUATOR - DAILY SUMMER 2025

QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates must hold a New York State certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of the Speech and Language Disabled. It is required that candidates must attach a PDF or a screen shot of their certifications. New York State Licensure and Registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence is preferred. Experience completing speech-language evaluations preferred. Candidates must have knowledge of ASHA Scope and Practice of Speech-Language Pathology, Medicaid Regulations, and Federal and State Regulations pertaining to Speech-Language Pathology. Candidates must have application knowledge of various Speech-Language assessment tools. Candidates must also possess strong interpersonal communication skills. LOCATION: School 197 DATES: JULY/AUGUST 2025 Number of Days to be TBD

    DUTIES : The duties include, but will not be limited to:

    + Performing observations and consultations

    + Administering Speech-Language evaluations

    + Completing IEP Direct input

    + Writing reports required by the Committee on Special Education (CSE)

    + Assisting the CSE in the appropriate development and implementation of Individualized Education Plan (IEP)

    + Inputting Medicaid billing into Kinney

    + May be required to attend CSE meetings and consult with other professional disciplines, vendors, parents, and school personnel

    + Completing other duties deemed necessary and appropriate .
