Job Title: Applications Engineer
Job Description
This role involves accurately targeting and defining product design requirements and specifications, as well as developing designs to meet both customer and internal production needs. The Applications Engineer will prepare costing, proposals, and bid packages for projects within their designated market segments, while providing technical support to the Regional Sales Manager. The position serves as a vital link between engineering and sales, assisting the sales team with quotes, specifications, pricing, strategy, bid documentation, and lead generation. The role also includes customer interaction and support.
Responsibilities
+ Size and develop cost-effective process solutions to meet customer needs.
+ Prepare technical bids and proposals associated with products within the portfolio.
+ Participate in design and process risk reviews for proposed solutions.
+ Communicate with the Regional Sales Manager, external sales representatives, internal engineering departments, engineering consultants, and customers.
+ Ensure all designs conform to contract specifications and drawings.
+ Write up orders, clearly identifying what was sold, and resolve conflicts regarding price, scope, and delivery schedule.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical/environmental/civil) required.
+ 2+ years' experience as an Applications Engineer or related field.
+ Strong process engineering experience and knowledge of wastewater treatment.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD with 2+ years' experience.
+ Proficient in MS Office.
+ Strong technical and writing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience in lead generation and sales.
Work Environment
The position requires 40 hours a week, from 8am to 5pm. The engineer will work in a cubicle within the new innovation center, alongside other engineers. This environment offers the opportunity to collaborate and innovate freely. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.86/hr.
