Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description: 3 Month Contract with potential for extension/conversion to permanent
This role encompasses both administrative and clinical tasks, including maintaining patient records, preparing patients and examination rooms, and assisting physicians during exams. The position requires a blend of clerical, customer service, and medical skills to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain and update patient records accurately.
+ Prepare examination rooms and patients for physician evaluations.
+ Assist physicians during patient examinations.
+ Take vital signs such as pulse and blood pressure.
+ Update medications, allergies, and other relevant information in patient medical records.
+ Perform medical procedures, specimen collection, and laboratory testing.
Required Qualifications/Skills
+ Certified Medical Assistant certification in Washington State.
+ Experience with EPIC and EHR/EMR systems.
+ BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required before starting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in medical assisting within adult outpatient clinics preferred.
+ Experience working in pulmonology or respiratory clinics is advantageous.
+ Strong customer service skills.
+ Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
The role operates in a dynamic outpatient clinic setting. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Flexibility may be required to float to different areas if needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
