Job Title: Survey Crew ChiefResponsibilities
+ Daily coordination with field coordinator, project managers, and other office staff.
+ Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations.
+ Supervise all members of the survey crew.
+ Work independently as a one-person crew as required.
+ Daily uploading and downloading of data collectors.
+ Daily care and charging of survey instrumentation.
+ Continually advance knowledge with upgrades in technology and equipment.
+ Assist party chief in carrying survey equipment and supplies to job site.
+ Clear vegetation obstructing the line of sight.
+ Assist party chief in the collection of survey data.
+ Perform basic mathematical calculations as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency with the use of Trimble or other survey equipment (GPS, Robotics, Total Stations, Levels, and Data Collectors).
+ Experience running a crew using robotic total stations and GPS.
+ Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
+ Strong focus on quality of data collected.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
+ Familiarity with software such as Totalstation, Microstation, and AutoCAD.
+ Willingness to learn and follow directions of the Party Chief.
+ Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Work Environment
This position involves 100% fieldwork. During inclement weather, you will be paid for 40 hours a week and assist in the office, learning CAD and other skills. The role requires you to be outside in all different weather conditions. There is no mandatory overtime, but opportunities are available if you choose to work extra hours. The company has been established for 50 years and has a stable backlog of work, providing a reliable and supportive work environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
